One sunny afternoon, Timmy was playing in his backyard with Mr. Snuggles, his favorite teddy bear. He was giving Mr. Snuggles a ride on the swing when he noticed a little girl peeking over the fence.
'Hi!' the girl said with a bright smile. 'I'm Sarah. I just moved in next door!'
Timmy held Mr. Snuggles closer and whispered a shy 'Hello.'
Sarah walked through the gate and into Timmy's yard. Her eyes lit up when she saw Mr. Snuggles.
'What a cute teddy bear!' she exclaimed. 'Can I play with him too?'
Timmy's tummy felt funny. He had never shared Mr. Snuggles with anyone before. He looked down at his furry friend, unsure what to do.
Timmy remembered what his mommy always said about sharing being caring. He took a deep breath and slowly held out Mr. Snuggles.
'His name is Mr. Snuggles,' Timmy said softly. 'We can all play together on the swing.'
Sarah's face broke into the biggest smile Timmy had ever seen.
Together, they took turns pushing Mr. Snuggles on the swing. They played hide and seek, where Mr. Snuggles was always the best at hiding. They even had a pretend tea party with cookies made of sand.
Timmy noticed that Sarah was very gentle with Mr. Snuggles, just like he was. He started to feel happy that he had shared.
As the sun began to set, Sarah had to go home. 'Thank you for sharing Mr. Snuggles,' she said. 'Can we play again tomorrow?'
Timmy nodded eagerly. 'Yes! And Mr. Snuggles wants to play too!'
That night, Timmy hugged Mr. Snuggles tight and whispered, 'We made a new friend today.' Mr. Snuggles seemed to smile back, proud of Timmy's bravery.
